review ¶ Cursed Command Angel in the Whirlwind #3 ✓ E-book, or Kindle E-pub Free read Cursed Command Angel in the Whirlwind #3 Ng force Kat is saddled with an undermining new executive officer an untested aristocrat whose bigotry colors his sense of duty Both captains wage war against ruthless pirates while conspirators aboard the Uncanny plot to seize the ship When the starships find themselves locked in a death match with an enemy juggernaut Kat must make a desperate and devastating sacrifice. This is a really enjoyable series and i will certainly be reading the next one very soonI am not a particularly critical reader if the story is interesting and I care about the characters I can forgive many of the faults mentioned by other reviewers If as in this case I have to read or listen to the end regardless of what else i am supposed to be doing then i am happy to give 5 starsThere are definite similarities to the Honor Harrington books but also sufficient departures to make these a very worthwhile read for David Weber fans I would count myself one of theseThis would probably have been a 4 star rating but the last uarter of the book was very climactic and I was immersed in another world unwilling to leave which is everything I ask of a book Hence 5stars although I guess Honor would have to be 55 stars on the same scale

I didn t enjoy this book as much as the previous two in the series To be honest I found most of it a bit boring I think this is partly because the narrative is split between Kat and William on two different Ships and although I have nothing against William he isn t the character I wanted to read aboutThen there is the additional plot concerning a group of potential pirates planning a mutiny on a William s ship Reading pages and pages about people that I don t like just waiting for something to happen was not only uite tedious but it left a depressing cloud hanging over the whole book
