I was given a copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads This is a toothache sweet romance The relationship between Hilton a billionaire CEO and Cathal his head of security is pure fantasy fiction until Cathal has to return home to Montana to deal with family drama From that point on we get a little bit of angst and a whole lot of domestic bliss The connection between Cathal and Hilton has been five years in the making but somehow this still feels like instalove as the two men move from flirtation to coparenting in the space of a few days As with all billionaire romances this story pushes the boundaries of plausibility as Hilton manages to drop everything in New York to be with Cathal in Montana To a British reader Hilton s British background isn t terribly convincing and I found the inconsistencies irritating Cathal s family situation is heartbreaking but everything is domestic than sexy For me the domestic part of the story was a complete turnoff As soon as Cathal and Hilton start to figure things out together they are surrounded by four children Sure the kids are cute and the men s domestic experiences are realistic but I don t read billionaire romances for realism Cathal and Hilton sneak around like teenagers or parents having muffled sex before immediately pulling sweats on so small children can get into bed with them Not sexy Not at all sexy TA Chase was one of the first authors to get me hooked on mm romance but this is the first of her books that I ve read in some time As a fan I was surprised by the choppy tell not show writing style and frustrated with some grammatical errors that I hope will be fixed before the final release date

Chase Ú 9 CHARACTERS CHARACTERS Why I Love Bodyguards Why I Love#3 ✓ E-book, or Kindle E-pub Hilton Burke might be one of the most powerful men in the world but he can’t seem to get what he wants the most Every time he sees Cathal McKinley his head of security Hilton can’t help wishing they could be than just employer and employee He even admits to himself that he just might be in love with Cathal even thoug. 25 StarsThis is the third book in a series taking on the billionaire and bodyguard trope It s very much a fluffy story and tries to focus on a heartwarming family theme This did stand alone but it might be informative to read the first two books in the series which I did not I think that some romantic buildup for this couple may have happened in those stories The chapters have alternating POV s from Hilton the wealthy businessman and Cathal his head of security Secondary characters include Cathal s niece and nephews and returning characters Herb and Chuck The narrative was simply written but transitions between scenes weren t always smooth Hilton and Cathal have worked together for five years but in the first two chapters they seem to have little insight about each other Yet within a day or two of Hilton coming to help Cathal they decide they are in a relationship and in bed There was no buildup or sexual tension and I sensed little strong emotion or passion I also couldn t find any logical basis for Cathal not speaking to his father or family for 25 years There were some other plot points like Zinnia the won t take gay for an answer woman Jonas the CIA agent and even the supposed mystery of Hilton s parents that had little or no relevance to the overall story I saw the characterizations as far too thin given little depth or dimension even for the MC s and particularly the children I ve never seen teens or small children so amenable and well behaved Still I read through it easily enough as it didn t demand emotional investment and contained no angst If a light contemporary novel offering complete escape from any realism and happy endings all around is what you need this might fit the bill for youAn ARC was provided by the publisher in return for an honest review

Chase Ú 9 CHARACTERS CHARACTERS Why I Love Bodyguards Why I Love#3 ✓ E-book, or Kindle E-pub Wo of them to get togetherHilton and Cathal have spent years dancing around each other but when Cathal needs help Hilton comes to Montana to back him up Soon they’re dealing with children and an old friend who can’t take “no” for an answer And finally admitting their love turns out to be the least of their worrie. My Favorite of the ThreeOut of the three books in this series this is the one I like the most I didn t LOVE it but it was goodIf you ve read the forst book then you know about Hilton the owner or a large international company and Cathal the head of Hilton s security They have crazy sexual tension but pretend that they kind of don t get along Herb from book one is always trying to get them together because he knows they re perfect for one another So this is Hilton and Cathal s book Cathal s been called home to take care of his drug addict sister s four children because Cathal s father who was raising them is dying Cathal is the children s guardian but he hasn t been home in over 10 years This is the story of him going home becoming a parent to the kids admitting that he s in love with Hilton reconciling with his father and forming a family with Hilton and the kidsI really liked these guys They were sweet I mean yeah that pretty much sums it up What made the book for me was actually the kids They were pretty awesome Especially the six year old twins who were rambunctious and mischevious I liked how easily the group formed a family It was just all verysweetThis is not masterpiece but it s a nice way to while away a few hours
