Joan Hess º 2 Free download Free download Ó PDF, DOC, TXT, eBook or Kindle ePUB free º Joan Hess Damsels in Distress Review Ó 2 Er someone is definitely dead and the fire looks very suspicious but is it murder When the fair opens tensions expose the dark secrets and malevolent schemes that lurk beneath the superficial congeniality of the ARSE members The lords are leaping the ladies are lying and the knights are fighting while someone is committing murder most heinous And with Claire's dreams of a blissful wedding hanging in the balance she has no choice left but to fling herself into the battle and match wits with the kill I discovered the late and great Joan Hess several years back with her Maggody series After taking a huge pause in reading mysteries I picked up this up at the not so local somewhat rural library a few months ago to read with my 15 yo Suggestive at times but overall a clean read Clever definitely witty Claire s relationship with her own daughter and solid romance with the detective are built into the story line so that if you ve not read previous Claire Malloy stories as we hadn t you ll be fine picking this up and reading it We didn t feel as if we d missed out on anything that would have tremendously added to the comprehension of this particular story However I was not as amused as I d been with the Maggody series at least from what I remember We ve just finished Pall In The Family and I was looking for something else to read with said 15 year old and while browsing at another local library slightly bigger hoping for options disappointed that they didn t have the second in the Family Fortune series by Dawn Eastman I was pleased to find the first in the Maggody series which I am now currently reading Crossing fingers it s as good as I remember
